The Centerville Pumpkin Festival is a family centered Autumn themed even filled with fun for all walks of life. Join us for an all-day event; it's outdoors, free to attend, offers fine art and crafts vendors, food, entertainment, activities for kids, prizes, and much more! Activities at the festival include yearly favorites like the pumpkin patch, hay maze, craft tables, bounce house, a professional massage therapist, and the 100 swag bags that are given out to the early birds. We'll look forward to seeing you at the large farm field located at 33 Broad Street in Centerville, Goochland Virginia to partake in the fun. The Centerville Pumpkin Festival is a family run event and its major sponsors are George R. Andrews and Associates along with Suntrust Bank of Centerville, Goochland in Virginia.

Pumpkin Fest 2008



This year's festival:

The Centerville Pumpkin Festival 2008 will be held October the 11th, 2008. The Festival will run from 10am to 4pm this year and we are looking forward to the fun and already planning great things for October's event including those cute award winning Alpacas pictured from Thistle Down Alpacas!!

We are looking forward to:

  • The moonwalk
  • The Hay Maze
  • Another great Pumpkin patch for you to pick the perfect pumpkins for the season!
  • The hottest, to the minute, artists and indie crafters in the country with many new vendors and a larger variety of shopping to choose from! Please click links in side bar to learn more about our vendors!
  • Specially featured, the website Etsy.com (your place to buy and sell all things handmade) will be hosting activities and free tutorials all day long!
  • Thistle Down Alpacas' famous Alpacas and family!
  • More great Festival food including cotton candy and baked goods!
  • New, special features including an on-site professional massage therapist. Enjoy the healing touch of massage therapist, Ron Kilian, a nationally certified massage therapist from Charlottesville, Virginia; has worked for several spas and health clubs including Wintergreen Ski Resort’s Spa, and the Atlantic Coast Athletic Club (ACAC). He has a private practice and has taught massage at the local schools.
  • The Goochland county volunteer Fire Department with fire truck and ambulance tours.

Help make it happen:

You may be wondering, "How can I get involved with the Centerville Pumpkin Festival?" The answer is simple...

There are several ways to get involved with the event and the following are a few examples of what you can do:

  • Become a volunteer for the Centerville Pumpkin Festival. There are several ways one can volunteer, such as donating an hour or several to help out on or before the day of the event. We are happy to provide signatures of time volunteered. Please send an email to mary@etsy.com for additional info and details about volunteering at the Centerville Pumpkin Festival.
  • Would you like to help sponsor the Centerville Pumpkin Festival? Do you have equipment, supplies, signage, attractions you would like to lend to the festival? Please send an email to mary@etsy.com for additional info about sponsorship of the event!
  • Get involved via advertising the Centerville Pumpkin Festival!! The organizers of the event take great efforts to advertise in local publications, and we are always looking for more advertising.
  • Would you like to dontate promotional materials to the Centerville Pumpkin Festival? "Promos" include and are not limited to small samples, coupons, brochures, and goodies. The Centerville Pumpkin Festival stuffs 150-200 "pumpkin bags" each year full of promos, freebies, candy, and goodies to give away to the first 150-200 guests that arrive at the Festival. This is a good way to advertize your business and get a sample of your product out there with your business name and website/address! Please enquire about promo details by sending an email to mary@etsy.com.
  • Get involved by helping to spread the word about this year's Centerville Pumpkin Festival. Tell and invite your friends, family, co-workers, and local businesses about the event so it can be that much more of a community driven Festival!
  • One of the biggest and best ways to get involved in the Centerville Pumpkin Festival and show your support for this community event is to come on out and enjoy the fun!!

Apply to event

Be a part of the Festival:

  • Are you an Artist or a Crafter?
  • Do you make and or sell food that might fit well in an outdoor festival type setting?
  • Do you provide activities for children, adults, and or families that might fit well in an outdoor festival type setting?
  • Are you in a band or have a musical act that would work well at a family centered outdoor event?

If you would like to apply to be a vendor or musical guest at the 3rd annual Centerville Pumpkin Festival 2008, please send an email with the heading "Centerville Pumpkin Festival application request" with any additional information to: mary@etsy.com. A PDF application will then be sent to you via email or snail mail, whichever you prefer, with all of the major and minor details concerning being a vendor at this event!

Vendors are welcome to apply to the Centerville Pumpkin Festival year-round. Acceptance letters will be mailed out the second week of September, 2008.
